Kootenay Lakeview Spa Resort & Event Centre is a 1 hour drive from the West Kootenay Regional Airport. This airport offers daily flights to and from Vancouver and Calgary, making it easy to get to our tranquil resort from anywhere in the world.
For those who enjoy the roadtrip experience, the drive from Vancouver to Queens Bay offers a uniquely British Columbian experience. An 8.5 hour journey eastward will take you through forests, mountains, and Canada’s desert, all leading you to the Kootenay Lakeview Spa Resort & Event Centre.
A 5.5 hour route east, through some of British Columbia’s most tranquil treelined landscapes, will bring you to Queens Bay and the Kootenay Lakeview Spa Resort & Event Centre.
The journey from Calgary to our resort offers drivers a scenic voyage through the Rocky Mountains and the quaint mountain towns of British Columbia. There are two primary routes from Calgary to Queens Bay and the Kootenay Lakeview Spa Resort & Spa. The quickest of these routes will take you approximately 7 hours, with a drive through Southern Alberta along the Rocky Mountains. The other route offers a 7.5 hour journey through the mountains, including Banff National Park and Kootenay National Park.
Guests who are travelling to the Kootenay Lakeview Spa Resort & Event Centre from Alberta’s capital city can anticipate a nearly 10 hour drive, taking them south through Calgary and through to Nanton before beginning the journey westward towards and through the mountains.
The community of Queens Bay is located almost directly north of the Washington/Idaho border, just 169 miles north of Spokane. Our American guests travelling from Spokane can expect a pleasant, 3.5 hour drive when passing through the Metaline Falls/Nelway border crossing.
Guests who are travelling from Seattle by car will drive eastward across Washington, towards Spokane. Once in Spokane, the remainder of the drive will take you north across the Canadian border and through picturesque, natural landscapes. The journey typically takes 7.5 hours.
